The Autonomic Nervous System is not very well known. In fact there isn’t even a recognized textbook on it. Much of the reason for this is that until today there really was no tool to look at the behavior of the Autonomic Nervous System in real time. 

With the availability of the ANSiscope, it is now possible to look at the sympathetic and parasympathetic responses at every heartbeat. Researchers can also look at the sympathovagal balance at every heartbeat.

Having an excellent tool for looking at the behavior of the Autonomic Nervous System opens up many new and exciting possibilities. It is now possible to really understand the behavior of the Autonomic Nervous System under various conditions.
